Course & Examination

Requirements for becoming an A2G
  1. Having the R2G qualification;
  2. Having at least 80 hours of proven geotourism guiding experience as an R2G, of which at least 8 hours are geotours recognised by the R2G Secretariat;
  3. Having conducted at least one geotour in a foreign language or Putonghua; and
  4. Holders of a valid first aid certificate issued by one of the following six institutions: the Hong Kong Red Cross, the Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade, the Auxiliary Medical Service, The Hong Kong Life Saving Society, the Hong Kong Police and the Hong Kong Fire Services Department;
  5. Possess a valid Tourist Guide Licence issued by the Travel Industry Authority or a pre-existing tourist guide pass (issued by the TIC) taken as a valid Tourist Guide Licence.

Anyone fulfilling the above requirements may enrol in the A2G Training Course covering different topics.
